Toppan Label Co., Ltd. merged with TMP Co., Ltd. on October 1, 2007 to form TOPPAN TDK LABEL CO., LTD.

1972: Avery Toppan Co., Ltd. was established in Taito-ku, Tokyo, with capital of 45 million yen, funded equally by Toppan Printing Co., Ltd. and Avery Products Corporation (current Avery Dennison Corporation).
1973: Kansai Sales Office established.
1974: Increased capital to 135 million yen.
1976: Head Office Plant established in Shibaura, Minato-ku, Tokyo.
1979: A new Head Office Plant building completed.
1984: Expansion of the Head Office building completed.
1990: Nagoya Sales Office established.
Became a member of TOKYO TAG & SEAL PRINTER'S ASSOCIATION.
1992: Increased capital to 495 million yen.
Fukushima Plant started operations in Fukushima City.
1994: Nishinihon Sales Office established in Fukuoka City.
1996: Upon the termination of a joint venture agreement between Toppan Printing and Avery Dennison, company name changed to Toppan Label Co., Ltd.
1997: Increased capital to 1 billion yen.
1998: Second Fukushima Plant started operations.
2000: Head Office moved to the No. 3 Toppan Building.
2001: Fukushima Plant acquired ISO14001 certification.
2004: Head Office, Sales Offices and Fukushima Plant acquired ISO9001:2000 certification.
Takino Plant started operations in Kato City, Hyogo Prefecture.
2005: Capital increased to 1.5 billion yen.
2005: Takino Plant acquired ISO9001:2000 certification.
2006: Information security management system (ISMS) certification criteria Ver. 2.0 acquired.

1970: Tokyo Magnetic Printing Co., Ltd. established with capital of 50 million yen, funded equally by Tokyo Denki Kagaku Kogyo K.K. (current TDK Corporation) and Toppan Printing Co., Ltd.
1972: Kansai Sales Office established.
1973: Tamagawa Plant completed.
1974: Magnetic tape for passbooks developed.
1976: Systemkiki Hanbai Co., Ltd. established.
1982: Sagamihara Plant established; capital increased to 100 million yen.
1985: Production of telephone cards started.
1986: Sagamihara-Kita Plant established; capital increased to 200 million yen.
1988: Takino Plant completed; capital increased to 400 million yen.
1991: Increased capital to 1 billion yen.
1996: Sagamihara-Nishi Plant started operations.
Production of contactless IC cards started.

2003: Full-fledged production of CMP slurry for Cu interconnection in LSI started.
2005: Company name changed to TMP Co., Ltd.
Head Office moved to Sagamihara Plant.
Sagamihara Plant acquired ISO14001 certification.
2006: Technical license provided to BASF; Joint development of CMP slurry started.
2007: Merger with Toppan Label to form TOPPAN TDK LABEL CO., LTD.

2009: RFID label converter certification obtained from Avery Dennison Corporation.
